This marathon book was interesting to read and provided lots of great tips. It gave all the information I could think to ask, but still didn’t overwhelm me with information. I’d definitely recommend this book.
The content is really useful and well thought out. I would have preferred less “tips” and skipped at least 1/3 of them. As far as readability goes, it was one of the easiest training books I have read. I would recommend it to a first time marathoner but not to a runner who has done more than two.
I just finished this book and I have to say that I absolutely loved it. I heard about it from a friend who suggested I read it because of my interest in running and my dream of completing a marathon.
The author understands that running a marathon is mostly mental and he discusses how to overcome all of the negative thoughts that come along with training. Do yourself a favor and READ THIS BOOK!

I’m new to running and this book has given me a lot of insight and encouragement regarding the marathon. Its a fun read that makes the marathon more approachable for most people.
I’d highly recommend this book.
I have read Joe’s book and it works! Both my daughter and I have lost 17 pounds and love running! Thanks Joe!
On the suggestion of the people here I went to the site (thanks for providing a link) and bought it.
I read and I read and I read and I have to say that if I didn’t think I could run a marathon, I do now.
Even if you aren’t planning on running a marathon, this is a great book to read about setting and accomplishing goals.
Thanks to everyone here who suggested it.
